University Leaders Review Opening-Day Operations Across Campus

University leaders visited key sites across campus on  to review opening-day operations and help ensure the smooth opening of the Spring 2026 semester March 2.

 

The visits were carried out by groups led respectively by Party Secretary Liu Sifang and President Dong Hongchuan. Vice Presidents Lu Bo, Zhang Beiping, Wang Renqiang, Yan Gongjun, and Hu Anjiang also took part, along with Yang Guoxiang, secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection.

 

The groups toured classroom buildings, dining halls, residence halls, and the hillside walking trail, checking on academic operations, student services, and campus safety on the first day of the semester. They also received updates from relevant offices on first-day arrangements and raised follow-up requirements for issues identified during the visits.

 

Liu said the opening of a new semester matters not only to students and faculty but also to the overall stability of campus operations. He stressed the importance of close attention to safety and support measures across the University, especially in areas such as fire access in academic buildings, gas safety in dining halls, and electrical safety in residence halls, with any issues addressed as soon as they arise.

 

Dong praised the University’s preparations for the new semester and emphasized the importance of keeping academic operations running smoothly while continuing to improve campus services. He noted that careful attention to classroom multimedia equipment, staggered meal service in dining halls, and reliable hot water in residence halls will be essential to meeting the day-to-day needs of students and faculty and ensuring the smooth operation of the University.

 

Representatives from relevant administrative and support units also joined the visits.
