Party Secretary Liu Sifang Leads SISU Delegation to Chengdu for Employer Visits and Alumni Event

2026-01-05

Party Secretary Liu Sifang led a SISU delegation to Chengdu from December 26 to 27 to meet with employers, expand internship and job opportunities for students, and attend the annual meeting of the university’s Sichuan Alumni Association.

Gou Chaoli, the vice party secretary, joined the delegation along with representatives from several academic and administrative units. Over two days, the group visited companies and schools linked to SISU alumni, holding on-site conversations about talent needs, recruitment channels, and future collaboration.

At Continental Hope Group in Chengdu, Liu and the delegation toured manufacturing parks, digital factories, and new-energy facilities. The visits offered a close look at developments in intelligent manufacturing, digital production systems, and energy-storage technology. Company leaders and alumni shared perspectives on industry trends and the skills most in demand.

Gou led additional visits to Chengdu Mianshi Foreign Languages School and Chengdu Tianma Precision Machinery Co. Conversations there focused on teacher development, internship pathways for students, and the needs of precision-manufacturing firms for graduates with strong language and cross-cultural communication abilities.

The delegation also attended the 2025 annual meeting of the SISU Sichuan Alumni Association, which brought together more than 200 alumni from across the province. Liu spoke with attendees about their career paths, listened to reflections on their time at SISU, and discussed ways to strengthen connections between alumni and current students.

At the meeting, alumni association leaders reviewed the year’s programs, including mentoring and networking initiatives, and outlined plans for the year ahead. Several alumni were recognized for their active support of association activities.

The trip strengthened ties with employers and alumni in Sichuan, opened new channels for internships and employment, and fostered closer communication between the university and its alumni community. Additional visits of this kind are planned to broaden cooperation with industry partners and support students’ transition into the workplace.
