Shapingba District is a centraldistrict in the city of Chongqing. To the east of the district flows theJialing River, and the West towers the Jinyun Mountain. It borders JiulongpoDistrict in the south and Beibei District in the north. Covering an area of 396square kilometers, Shapingba District consists of 26 towns. It has 1.48 millionpermanent residents and an urbanization rate of 96%.
