Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) is proud to announce that two of its innovative programs have been named to the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission’s second-batch list of modern industrial colleges for project establishment (incubation). The International Film and Television Industrial College and the Multi-language Cross-border E-commerce Industrial College have earned municipal approval, marking a significant milestone in SISU’s mission to bridge education with industry and bolster regional economic growth.
The International Film and Television Industrial College, launched on December 29, 2022, in partnership with the Western Film and Television Dubbing Center, unites SISU’s School of Journalism and Communication with key collaborators, including the Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission, iFLYTEK Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Jiazhuo Film and Television Cultural Media Co., Ltd. This dynamic college harnesses SISU’s multilingual expertise to train a new generation of film and television professionals. With a focus on international communication, the program aims to amplify the global reach of Chinese culture while equipping students with the skills to thrive in a worldwide media landscape.
Meanwhile, the Multi-language Cross-border E-commerce Industrial College, officially renamed and established in April 2024, builds on the foundation of the International Industrial College of Digitalized Modern Service Industry, founded in 2022. This forward-thinking initiative, spearheaded by SISU’s International School of Business Administration, partners with industry leaders such as Chongqing Yulou Cross-border E-commerce Co., Ltd., Chongqing Xiyong Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park, the Chongqing Cross-border E-commerce Association, and Chongqing Foreign Trade (Group) Co., Ltd. By integrating government, industrial parks, enterprises, and academia, the college is poised to become a regional hub for industry-education collaboration, linking education, talent development, industry needs, and entrepreneurial innovation.
“This dual recognition underscores SISU’s commitment to pioneering industry-aligned education,” said a university spokesperson. “These colleges will serve as vital platforms for refining our talent cultivation models and driving Chongqing’s industrial and economic advancement.”
