From March 6 to 7, Vice President Hu Anjiang, a member of the university’s Party Standing Committee, led a delegation to Xiushan to support rural revitalization initiatives. The visit included field inspections, participation in a joint conference organized by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, and meetings with university officials stationed in local villages.

The delegation visited several villages, including Pingsuo, Tunbao, Dongping, and Liangqiao in Aikou Town, where they conducted on-site inspections focusing on the development of distinctive local industries, assistance in basic education, and rural governance strategies. The group held productive discussions to explore ways to enhance support measures effectively.

Vice President Hu met with four SISU officials stationed in these villages—Lian Jun, Zhu Tianxiang, Huang Guanghui, and Fan Jie—and highly commended their dedicated grassroots work and their outstanding achievements. He reiterated the university’s firm commitment to comprehensively supporting Xiushan’s rural revitalization through financial aid, consumption demand, intellectual contributions, human resources, and industrial advancement. Hu encouraged stationed officials to closely align their efforts with local needs and community expectations, advocating for tailored support initiatives based on local economic conditions.

The university will provide ongoing assistance to Xiushan’s rural revitalization by offering targeted industry guidance, expanding overseas market opportunities, developing e-commerce channels, and advancing local K12 education.

During the inspection tour, Vice President Hu and his delegation also visited several SISU students' families with low annual income, extending  care and support on behalf of the university.
