Australian University of Newcastle Delegation Visits SISU

On April 10, Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) welcomed a delegation from the University of Newcastle, Australia, led by Vice-Chancellor Aleksandr Voninski. Vice President Yan Gongjun hosted the group, engaging in productive discussions to deepen the partnership between the two institutions.

 

At the meeting, Yan Gongjun extended a warm welcome to the delegation, highlighting the success of the existing Sino-Australian cooperative education programs. He expressed enthusiasm for expanding collaboration by pursuing new joint educational initiatives. In response, Voninski emphasized SISU’s importance as a key partner for Newcastle, noting that he prioritized visiting SISU during his first trip to China. He expressed confidence that through dedicated collaboration, both universities could unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.

 

The discussion explored a range of cooperative possibilities, including a joint big data program, dual master’s degree programs, and short-term student exchange projects.

 

Representatives from SISU’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Business English, and School of International Business Administration joined the talks, contributing to the collaborative dialogue.
