SISU Students Excel in “Understanding Contemporary China” National Foreign Language Contest

On December 9, the 2024 “FLTRP · ETIC Cup” “Understanding Contemporary China” National Foreign Language Contest for College Students successfully concluded in Beijing. Organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, the competition featured English, Multilingual, and International Chinese categories, covering 11 languages.

The contest, which began in March, progressed through campus, provincial, and national stages. Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) actively encouraged student participation, completing campus-level selections in October. In the Chongqing provincial round, SISU students stood out among 552 participants from 28 universities, earning 23 gold, 30 silver, and 13 bronze awards through meticulous preparation and dedicated guidance from their teachers.

At the national finals, SISU contestants achieved a record-breaking number of awards. The university’s outstanding organization and performance earned it the “Outstanding Organization Award” for the 2024 FLTRP · ETIC Cup. This recognition highlights SISU’s commitment to fostering talent and promoting excellence in foreign language education.
