Now is peak tulip season, with fields of pink and yellow tulips in full bloom and perfect for photos. From late February through March, flowering plum and cherry blossoms also add to the spring scenery.

Do not miss local favorites such as Chongqing noodles, free-range chicken soup, and handmade ciba (glutinous rice cake). The noodles are light but flavorful, the ciba is soft and chewy with sugar, and the chicken soup is warm and comforting. Simple, local, and affordable.

Search for Huilongba Village, Shapingba District if driving. The trip takes about 40 to 60 minutes from central Chongqing. Temporary parking is available at the village entrance, and some attractions offer free parking.
