College of Japanese Studies Held Online Chinese Study Workshop for Partner School

The College of Japanese Studies of SISU organized a two-week Chinese study workshop online for students from Hokuriku University -- a partner school from Japan -- from March 13 to March 24.

The workshop offered Chinese language learning courses such intensive and extensive Chinese reading, cultural courses such as Guqin (a traditional Chinese musical instrument) appreciation, Chinese Kongfu, traditional Chinese costume, and  activities such as virtual tour of Chongqing and word riddle game.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Youbin, director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, SISU, extended a warm welcome to students from Hokuriku University, Japan. Zhang remarked that the workshop would help the Japanese students know better about China and promote friendly exchanges between SISU and Hokuriku University.

At the closing ceremony held on March 24, students from Hokuriku University shared their thoughts on attending the workshop. They said the workshop kindled their interest in learning the Chinese language and culture, and would like to visit China to experience its culture in person in the future.
