On the morning of March 17, 2022, SISU and the City University of Macau conducted an online meeting.
Zhu Chaowei, vice president of SISU and Ye Guiping, vice president of City University of Macau headed the meeting. Other SISU participants of the meeting include the head of the Academic Affairs Office, head of the Graduate School, director of the Scientific Research Office, dean of the School of Western Languages and Culture, and other relevant divisions. The director of the Regional and Contemporary China Research Institute, the dean of the Foreign Language Education and Research Center of the City University of Macau and other relevant CUM departments also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the two universities discussed the feasibility of conducting faculty and student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, business professional talent training, Portuguese speakers training, national and regional studies. The two universities agreed on signing an agreement to further bilateral cooperation and exchange.
Zhu Chaowei, vice president of SISU said that Sichuan International Studies University attaches great importance to exchanges with City University of Macau, and would like to promote in-depth cooperation between the two universities in the future. Ye Guiping expressed the hope that starting from this online exchange, the two universities will establish an effective communication mechanism as soon as possible to materialize the collaboration.
After the meeting, the admission officer of City University of Macau presented an online talk to students and teachers majoring in Portuguese language of the School of Western Languages and Cultures of SISU. In the talk, the admission officer briefed the audience the Portuguese master and doctoral programs of the City University of Macau.
