The Fourth Line Dance Culture Festival Held in SISU

On April 13, the Fourth SISU Line Dance Competition final was held in the Auditorium.

The two-month long competition has two categories: student group and faculty group. After intense competition, 17 faculty teams and 18 student teams entered the final round.

The faculty team from the School of English Studies came out first among the faculty teams with their dance titled China Seen in Bright Lights. The champion of the student line dance team comes from the Graduate School. The student team won the first prizes in three items: the best single, the best collective and the best original choreography.

The event is held to carry forward the Beijing Olympic spirit of “embracing a better future” and promote original line dance with Chinese cultural tradition. The competition is also organized to encourage teachers and students participating in line dance, and foster a lively sports culture as an attempt to enhance the physical fitness of SISUers.
