SISU Educational Supervisors Meeting Held

The Institute of Educational Planning and Assessment, SISU, held a meeting of educational supervisors on September 15 in Lide Building on the west campus.

At the meeting, Hu Wenfei, deputy director of the Institute gave a report on the work of educational supervisors of last semester. In his report, Hu summarized the strengths and weaknesses of the work and outlined the possible solutions to the remaining issues. He also made an announcement of a detailed supervision work plan for the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.

After Hu’s report, Wang Wei, the director of the Institute, recognized the hard work of the educational supervisors and expressed his appreciation for their contributions. He stressed that educational supervision is an important component of the higher education evaluation and a fundamental guarantee for teachers’ professional training. SISU needs to streamline the mechanism to improve the effectiveness of educational supervision.

The meeting concluded with a remark by vice president Wang Renqiang. President Wang highlighted the need for a reform of the supervision mechanism as an effort to address the many challenges confronting higher education in China, including the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that strengthening the supervision, updating the supervision information system, and using the supervision results to facilitate teacher training and evaluation are three major tasks the Institute of Educational Planning and Assessment, SISU, needs to fulfill.
