On May 14, 2024, the inaugural "Sunshine Dance on Campus" competition was held in Aikou Town, with enthusiastic participation from teachers and students of Aikou Town Central School, Liangqiao Primary School, and Cenlong Primary School.

The event, guided by the Chongqing Square Dance Promotion Center and the Department of Physical Education, Sichuan International Studies University (SISU), was a resounding success. Distinguished guests, including Wang Liehu, Propaganda Committee Member of the Aikou Town Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Town People's Congress, along with several village first secretaries, attended the event.

Han Shuna, Director of the National Square Dance Promotion Center Chongqing Center, and Zhou Gang, Principal of Aikou Town Central School, delivered speeches at the event. Three teams from the town's central school, Liangqiao Primary School, and Cenlong Primary School showcased their dance talents.

Following the competition, 100 students participated in the filming of the fourth national online campus dance competition. This event, hosted by the Gymnastics Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, is part of an ongoing effort to improve the campus physical education and provide a platform.

Before this event, 11 schools had sent their dance teams to the three primary schools in Aikou Town for two months of training.

SISU will continue to guide and organize student teams from Aikou Town to participate in the national youth dance championships in This initiative injects new and greater vitality into rural talent and cultural revitalization.
