College of Japanese Studies Holds 2023 Chongqing Young Scholars Forum

The 2023 Chongqing Young Scholars of Japanese Studies was held at C417 of the Lide Building in the West Campus of SISU on April 15. The forum was organized by the Journal of Japanese Language Study and Research, and the College of Japanese Studies, SISU.

At the morning session of the forum, Professor Wang Shengyuan and Researcher Li Ruoyu spoke on "The Kamikaze and Dutch Wind in Dazai Osamu's 'Defeat Diary'" and "Research on the History of Okinawa in China from the Perspective of East Asia."

In the afternoon, Professor Wang Shengyuan hosted a panel discussion on how to conduct academic research and writing. Following that, young scholars from Sichuan International Studies University, Southwest University, Chongqing Normal University, and Chongqing Jiaotong University presented their researches on Japanese linguistics, literature, history, and sociology.

The Forum attracted more than 40 attendees, among them many were professors and students from College of Japanese Studies, SISU.
