SISU’s First Post-Doc Researcher Passes the Oral Defense

Cheng Chen，the first post doctoral researcher at SISU, has successfully passed her thesis oral defense on Oct. 28, 2022.

Dr. Cheng delivered a presentation on her post-doctoral thesis Research on Spontaneous Monologues in the Perspective of Communicative Discourse. The presentation covers the theoretical rationale, the content, the methodology and the findings of the research.

Dr. Cheng answered the questions raised by the faculty committee of five examiners. In her defense, Dr. Cheng satisfactorily explained in great detail and precision the application of discourse strategies to foreign language teaching, the number of subjects taken the test, and the compilation of audio corpus.

The committee of examiners unanimously voted to pass the research.
