President Dong Hongchuan Addresses Conference Marking 20th Anniversary of Joint Undergraduate Program

                       

To mark the 20th anniversary of the “2 Plus 2” Joint Undergraduate Program run by the Hokuriku University, Japan and its Chinese partner universities in China, the Japanese university hosted an online conference on joint programs development on September 28, 2022.

A “2 Plus 2” Joint Undergraduate Program features the students studying in a Chinese university during the first two years and the third and fourth years in a foreign partner university.

SISU, a partner university of Hokuriku University, was invited to attend the conference online. On behalf of SISU, President Dong Hongchuan delivered a speech. In his speech, he gave a profile of the university and a detailed introduction to the College of Japanese Studies, SISU. He also outlined the concerted efforts made by both sides since the inception of the joint program. He highly valued the role of the program played in SISU’s effort to cultivate Japanese language professionals with a global vision.

The presidents or directors of international exchanges offices of 19 other Chinese universities also attended the conference online. Of those universities, Beijing Language and Culture University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Xi’an International Studies University and Beijing International Studies University are well known ones in China.
