National College Business Negotiation Competition Held at SISU

From April 1st to 2nd, the inaugural "Zhongyu Zhihui Cup" National College Business Negotiation Competition was successfully held at SISU. The competition was co-sponsored by the Association for the Comparative Studies of Chinese and Foreign Languages and Cultures and Sichuan International Studies University, and was undertaken by Zhongyu Zhihui Technology (Xiamen) Co., Ltd.

Themed on "Smart Negotiation, Win-Win Cooperation," the competition aims to promote teaching and learning through competition, provide a practical platform for students to apply their negotiation skills into practice.

The competition focuses on two realistic scenarios, one centered on commercial procurement and the other on labor disputes, requiring participants to demonstrate their skills in negotiation, communication, and problem-solving.

The competition was divided into 3 stages:

In the initial phase, each team is required to submit a planning template for business negotiations and subsequently engage in multiple rounds of simulated negotiations.

The second stage involves each team conducting negotiations based on pre-determined cases that test the players' business negotiation skills, ability to work in a team, and adherence to business etiquette norms

At the third stage, contestants were asked to solve a case at the site without preparation.

The evaluation of the performance is based on 12 points that grades the performance of the contestants in making the preparation, delivering the negotiation process and the final result.

At the end of the competition, in the undergraduate category, the competition awarded 7 best oral English speakers, 8 best negotiators, 4 special prizes. In the vocational college student category, the competition awarded 7 first prizes, 11 second prizes, 12 third prizes, and 4 special prizes for the higher vocational group.

The competition attracted students from universities across China, with participants showcasing their negotiation skills and strategic thinking throughout the competition. The event not only provided an opportunity for students to network with their peers but also helped them to gain valuable experience and knowledge in the field of business negotiation.
