The 15th Conference of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese (CACSE) and an International Symposium on Comparison and Translation between English and Chinese wereconvened in Sichuan International Studies University, Chongqing.

At the conference, SISU President Dong Hongchuan was elected the new CACSEC President. This is the first time a SISU professor is trusted with the position of a national academic society. It is deemed by the SISU community as a recognition of Professor Dong’s academic achievements and SISU’s role in the promotion of the discipline in China.
