7 More First-class Undergraduate Majors Approved
In a newly released MOU document, seven more majors of SISU are approved as both national and provincial “first-class majors”. By now, 18 majors of the university have been approved as “first-class” majors, accounting for 35.3% of the total. With these newly added seven, first-class majors are available in 87.5% of all the departments and colleges offering regular undergraduate programs.
Approved by the authority to develop those first-class majors, SISU will have a better chance in further exploring new education practices to improve its educational and research strengths. To push forward with cross disciplinary education would be one of the major moves to deepen the development of these first-class majors.
