Three Gorges Tourism Recovers

Xinhua News Chongqing reports that the Three Gorges tourism is recovering.

Tourist cruise ship Yangzte Legend is again taking tourists to Wushan County,Chongqing, where passengers would transfer to excursion boats to visit the canyon scenery of the Lesser Three Gorges.

By the end of January, Yangzte Legend resumed its routine operation route from Chongqing to Yichang, Hubei, after a four months’ pause.

There are now 17 excursion boats running in from Wushan County to the Lesser Three Gorges, which can accommodate around 6,000 tourists a day. To ensure that visitors to Wushan can fully explore the scenic area on the same day, the original departure times of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM have been replaced with arolling and cyclic departure schedule. This modification allows for a smoother and more efficient experience, providing greater convenience and satisfaction for tourists.

Inearly March, the Yangtze River cruise ships fully resumed operations, leading to a significant increase of visitors in Wushan. To welcome the upcoming peak tourism season, Wushan has comprehensively inspected and upgraded its tourist boats, enhancing the professional skills of its crew members and tour guides.
