The Chongqing Municipal People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with 21 financial institutions on August 30th in Beijing to jointly establish the Western Financial Center. This collaboration primarily focuses on deepening practical cooperation in key areas, such as implementing national strategic initiatives, participating in the 'Smart Finance, Benefiting People' project, and advancing the development of Chongqing's distinctive financial system.

As part of this agreement, eight financial institutions will establish functional centers and branch offices in Chongqing. This move aims to expedite the creation of influential and recognizable milestones in the construction of the Western Financial Center. Ultimately, these efforts are expected to significantly contribute to the development of the new, modern Chongqing.
