Two students from Sichuan International Studies University (SISU), Yang Xueying of the School of English Studies and Zhou Shuhua from the School of International Relations attended the 2023 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors' Forum in Brisbane, Australia, from October 11-13.

The Asia Pacific Cities Summit, first held in Brisbane in 1996, aims to strengthen connections between major cities in the Asia-Pacific region and promote economic development. This year's theme, "Shaping Cities for our Future," delved into areas like "Closely Connected Cities," "Sustainably Developed Cities," and "Cities with Intergenerational Legacy." More than 550 city representatives, spanning government officials, business professionals, and young urban leaders, attended the summit.

Yang and Zhou were selected to join the event. Both students shared insights about Chongqing's development and its unique features.

In three panel discussions, the two students engaged with young leaders from different countries. They presented Chongqing's evolution into a leading international metropolis and its distinct allure as the City of Mountains and Rivers to the international audience.
