2025-11-10

Vice President Yan Gongjun led a delegation from Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) to the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area from November 5 to 6. The visit was part of SISU’s ongoing initiative to strengthen school–industry partnerships and expand employment opportunities for students.

The delegation visited six enterprises, including Vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Maigemi Electrical Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Ruisheng Yunchuang Technology Co., Ltd., Sunshine Global Circuits Co., Ltd., Dongguan Sirong Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., and Sunco Electronic Co., Ltd. The team also met with Suntak Technology Co., Ltd., a partner of Ruisheng Yunchuang, to discuss potential cooperation.

During the visits, Vice President Yan and his team toured company R&D centers and intelligent manufacturing lines to gain firsthand insight into corporate development, technological innovation, talent needs, and global strategies. In discussions with senior executives and HR teams, Yan highlighted SISU’s distinctive interdisciplinary training model that combines foreign language proficiency with professional expertise. He emphasized that this approach equips SISU graduates to meet the increasing demand for globally minded professionals in diverse industries.

At vivo, the two sides reached an initial agreement to establish a cooperation framework on international talent development and overseas business expansion. During the visit to Maigemi Electrical, Yan focused on the company’s global business layout and talent structure, proposing collaboration in customized training and internship programs. At Ruisheng Yunchuang and Suntak Technology, the SISU team discussed specific steps for building joint internship bases and advancing cooperative education projects.

When visiting Sunshine Global Circuits, Yan pointed out that SISU’s strengths in German and other Eurasian languages could provide precise linguistic and cultural support for enterprises implementing “go-global” strategies, especially in product localization and overseas market expansion.

The visit represented another milestone in SISU’s effort to integrate academic excellence with industry engagement, fostering innovative cooperation models that prepare students for high-quality employment and active participation in China’s global development initiatives.

At Sirong Intelligent Equipment, Vice President Yan Gongjun attended a signing ceremony for the SISU–Sirong Cooperation Agreement and the inauguration of the SISU–Sirong Employment and Education Base. He also witnessed the launch of a joint scholarship program designed to support student career development. During the visit, Yan met with company executives, SISU alumni, and student interns, encouraging them to stay dedicated to their work, pursue lifelong learning, and embody SISU’s motto of “Embracing diversity and bridging China and the world.”

At Sunco Electronic, Yan reviewed the progress of collaborative initiatives, including the development of specialized training programs and new scholarship opportunities. He emphasized that effective university–enterprise cooperation should focus on tangible outcomes and contribute to both talent cultivation and industrial innovation.

Vice President Yan emphasized the need to strengthen students’ international outlook, cross-cultural communication skills, and practical competencies. He called for SISU to align its academic programs more closely with national strategies such as the Greater Bay Area development and with the evolving demands of emerging industries. Continuous refinement of the university’s training framework, he said, will ensure that SISU’s graduates are well prepared to meet the needs of a rapidly changing global market.

Yan also encouraged academic schools and administrative departments to build on the momentum of this visit by establishing long-term mechanisms for university–enterprise collaboration and promoting deeper integration among industry, academia, and research. Such partnerships, he noted, not only open higher-quality employment pathways for students but also provide strong talent support for enterprises expanding abroad. Through these efforts, SISU aims to contribute actively to China’s opening-up and to the sustainable development of regional economies.
