The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Warwick, UK, and the President of the Alumni Association of City University of Hong Kong, Visit SISU

On the morning of August 23rd, Sai Gu, the Executive Vice-President of the University of Warwick in the UK, and Wang Dan, the President of the EMBA (Chinese) Alumni Association at City University of Hong Kong, along with their delegation, visited SISU. SISU Party Secretary, Zou Yu, and Vice-President, Wang Renqiang, met with the guests at Room A301 in the Lide Building.

Representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the International School of Business and Management, the International Education College, the School of International Law and Sociology, the International College of Finance and Trade, and the University-Local Collaboration Office also participated in the discussion.

Party Secretary Zou Yu, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and provided an overview of the university’s educational scale, academic disciplines, and international exchanges. He emphasized that Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) aligns its education with international standards, aiming to cultivate versatile talents proficient in both languages and specialized fields. SISU is actively seeking collaborations with renowned international institutions like the University of Warwick to achieve mutual benefits and foster global talents.

Vice-President Sai Gu provided an overview of the University of Warwick's developmental history, educational scale, and its distinctive academic programs and features. He expressed that the University of Warwick remains committed to the combination of flexibility and high-quality education. He hopes to embrace opportunities, foster innovation, and establish even closer relationships with Chinese universities in the future, with the aim of developing into a global university.

Following that, Director Zhang Youbin provided an overview of the international collaboration and exchange initiatives at our school, along with our prospective cooperation goals.

The two parties also engaged in discussions regarding faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research, and the signing of agreements.
