Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) was founded in 1950 under the care and guidance of Deng Xiaoping, Liu Bocheng，He Long and other proletarian revolutionaries of the People’s Republic of China. It has gone through five stages in its development: the PLA’s Russian Training Corps of Southwest University of Military and Political Sciences, the Russian Training Brigade of No. 2 Senior Infantry School of the PLA, the Russian Department of Southwest People’s RevolutionaryUniversity, the SouthwestRussianCollege, and SichuanInternationalStudiesUniversity. Mr. Guo Moruo, the noted scholar and calligrapher, personally wrote the calligraphy for the name of the university.
