The 6th Shapingba District Sports Games commenced with great fanfare at Chongqing University's Siqun Stadium, A campus, on October 21. With 30 competitive events on the agenda, this sports extravaganza promises to be a spectacle like no other.

This event, touted as the largest and most comprehensive sports competition in the district, has garnered widespread participation. Over 10,000 athletes from 100 delegations representing various towns, streets, government offices, enterprises, institutions, schools, and stationed military units within the district have signed up to compete. The journey began with the first individual event back in April of this year, and since then, an impressive 27 competitive events have been successfully completed.

The opening ceremony was a vibrant affair, featuring a range of competitions in categories such as radio gymnastics, martial arts, sanda (Chinese kickboxing), and badminton. The entire event will be extensively covered through the Shaci Hui app and video platforms, enabling citizens to witness the excitement of the opening ceremony in real-time from the comfort of their screens.
