A rail-sea intermodal train carrying 50 standard containers of new energy vehicles departed the Tuanjieba station, Shapingba, Chongqing a few days ago. The destination is Zhoushan Port in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. After arriving at the port, the EVs will be shipped to Barcelona, Spain.

Chongqing Municipality and Ningbo city have reached an agreement to launch a more efficient and reliable cargo train route at the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade held in Chongqing. In less than 2 months after signing the agreement, the first "Chongqing-Ningbo Premium Express cargo train departed from Shapingba District, Chongqing.

On the same day, a rail-sea intermodal cargo train departed Beilun dock, Zhoushan port, Zhejiang province and was headed to Tuanjieba Station.

The operation of the "Chongqing-Ningbo Premium Express" optimizes the logistics for the import and export businesses in China.

China’s EV export has seen rapid growth eight years in a row. “Though Chongqing International Logistics Park (located in Tuanjieba, Shapingba, Chongqing) has launched many routes to facilitate EV export, this Chongqing-Ninbbo Premium Express opens a more efficient alternative route for local EV makers”, an official of the Logistics Park commented.
