Shapingba District Holds 2022 National Youth Artistic Gymnastics Championships

The 2022 National Youth Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Shapingba Stadium, Shapingba District, Chongqing. The event, which lasted from Feb. 16 to 22, attracted 133 teams and more than 1,000 young gymnasts from all over the country.  

The Championships are open to athletes from middle and high schools, gymnastics clubs, and sports training schools in China.  

The competitions are live streamed with full-course high-definition broadcast equipment. The seven-day event attracted more than 100,000 viewers and in-depth mainstream media coverage.

Nine teams with 40 athletes from Chongqing municipality entered the competitions, scoring 7 gold medals and five silvers.
