On September 16, 2023, alumni from the former English Department's Class of 83 gathered for a 40th-anniversary reunion in Room C517 of the Lide Building, West Campus.

During the reunion, attendees watched a commemorative video highlighting moments from their student years.

Alumni representative Lei Ying shared her experiences over the past four decades since first entering the school and expressed her gratitude to her teachers at SISU.

Teacher representative Ma Xinfa recounted a myriad of moments he shared with the Class of 83 during their study at SISU and how the class's passion for study had impressed him despite the limited learning resources and facilities at the time. He also expressed his great pleasure in seeing all of them have exceled in their respective careers.

The reunion concluded with attendees singing the school anthem.
