Sino-Hungarian Youth Dialogue Held in SISU

On December 1, 2023, the "Charm of Five Thousand Years of Chinese Civilization — Sino-Hungarian Youth Dialogue" was successfully hosted via live stream by the Central Radio and Television Station of China and the Budapest Center Television Station of Hungary.

Key figures, including the Deputy Mayor of Szeged, the Hungarian Consul General in Chongqing, and the Vice Chancellor of Sichuan Foreign Languages University, gave keynote speeches. The event, held at Sichuan Foreign Languages University, fostered exchanges on Chinese culture between young students from China and Hungary.

In his opening remarks, Szeged's Deputy Mayor Nagy Sándor highlighted the Chinese cultural exhibition at the Ferenc Móra Museum. He underscored the significance of cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two nations

After the keynote speeches, youth from Sichuan International Studies University and other institutions engaged in discussions about Chinese Civilization. This event, attended by over a hundred students and teachers from China and Hungary, took place both in Chongqing and Szeged, as well as online.

Dominka Ede Harald from Sichuan International Studies University moderated the discussions. Students from the university's 2020 Hungarian language cohort, including Tan Qiwei, Wang Yin, Deng Linsong, and Yu Jiawei, presented on topics like Chinese traditional thought and Hanfu or traditional Chinese costume, while Feng Xingyi and Yao Yongwei spoke at Szeged.
