At the invitation of Nguyen Ngoc Dien, president of the Asia Pacific Regional Conference of Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), and Arthit Ourairat, president of Rangsit University, vice president Zhu Chaowei accompanied by Ge Changyi, a professor of the Department of French SISU, attended the 12th Asia Pacific Regional Conference of AUF held in Thailand, “Universities in the Asia-Pacific Region: Present and Future”.
At the conference, Nguyen Ngoc Dien, the president of the Asia Pacific Regional Conference of AUF, delivered the opening speech and made a work report of AUF. Sophie Goedefroit, director of the Asia Pacific Regional Conference of AUF, made a report on the work of the AUF since the 11th Asia Pacific Regional Conference. Jean-Paul de Gaudemar, the president of Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie outlined the strategic plan of the institution from 2017 to 2021. At the end of the meeting, attendees of the conference voted to admit AJOU University (Korea) and China Foreign Affairs University (China) as new members of AUF.
