Zeng Zhen, Secretary of CPC Branch of the School of Oriental Languages and Literature, Huang Jincai, the vice president of the school, Zhao Yinchuan, Director of the Teaching and Research of the Thai Language and Culture in SISU, and Huang Huaxian, Director of the Teaching and Research Office of the Vietnamese Graduate, visited the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu.
Vithit Powattanasuk, Consul General at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in
Chengdu, warmly welcomed the group. He expressed his gratitude for the efforts and contributions of the School of Oriental Languages and Literature at SISU in
terms of cultivating Thai-talents. In his words, China and Thailand had close
exchanges trades and the two peoples had close contact. With the deepening of
cooperation between China's Sichuan and Chongqing regions and Thailand in
trade, tourism, education and investment, there was an urgent need for talents
who were familiar with Chinese and Thai languages and Chinese and Thai
culture and customs.
